Via Purifico
Via purifico is Latin for "road to purification".
The name is a love letter to FFX, I have always connected with the story and the theme of a path to repentance resonated with me. It's like my own Snake Way. In the game there are these "Cloister of Trials" that are essentially dungeons with puzzles and bosses. You periodically have to complete one and they are by far the most grueling part of the game. As a kid I would spend days and sometimes weeks stuck in a Cloister. As a young man I would joking call especially traumatic or hard parts of my life a "Cloister of Trials". To me a Cloister represents a change of chapter, hurdles you overcome to reach the next stage. As an artist letting the stuff go and moving on to the next project also feels like the page turn to me. The pieces I release are now the labors im letting go of.
Cloister ONE
Cloister One is my first drop! It represents a lot for me and ill be very proud to see anyone wearing these pieces!
This will be the most loose and random selection of stuff I probably ever release. In the future you can expect more concise organized drops.
The variety of colors is super experimental and I didn't make many "traditional" tiedyes that you might expect. I plan to do more textured looks like this Waterfall shirt with screen printing over the top in the future. I priortized texture and vibrancy to intricacy of patterns because ultimately I plan on using these as blanks for designs I make. The Waterfall/Typhlosion pattern is something I have been working on for a while. I want unique patterns that distinguish me from other tiedye folks. I made a collection of these for my family last year. Each one is a unique Dharma dye mix, pictures below!

This was one of the concepts that helped me launch the whole thing. The hats run a bit small unfortunately so my big ol noggin mfers are gunna need to wait for another hat drop. There are matching shirts and a couple pairs of shorts/knit tops that match as well! Check them out here!
